By The Fireside

Oh, will you sit with me at the fireside?
And I will turn your thoughts from the cold of the night.
And I will tell you a tale that I heard of late.
The night is young and ours alone,
And we've much to say.
The stars above us they
They look down
At you and I far below
On the ground.
How tiny must we appear to every star?
I don't think we understand just how small we are.
And I just dream...
If there's a wind this night I've not noticed so,
For you are here with me and I want you to know
That you play a part in turning off the dark.
So will you sit with me for an hour or so?
And we'll just dream...
And now the dawn is near, and so
The dreams end.
We must be on our way,
My dear friend.
While we were sleeping
The skies started weeping
And the fire was washed away
As the day began again.

Creature of Flight
04:40
|
|
||
I will love you all of my life
From the first whisper
'Til time is undone.
When the red sky
Heralds the sun
I will kiss you goodbye and away I will fly.
'Cause, baby, I must go where the wild wind takes me;
After all I'm a creature of flight.
Mountains may move and still you cannot chain me.
That's the way of the creature of flight.
I'm gonna fly on the wings of a dream.
I'm gonna rise in the air, yeah.
I'm gonna sleep in a faery-folk keep.
I will find my answer there.
But I will love you all of my life
From the first whisper
'Til time is undone.
When the red sky
Heralds the sun
I will kiss you goodbye and away I will fly.
I'm gonna run the pathways to the stars.
I'm gonna sail in the wake of the whale.
There will I seek the secrets of the deep.
Ancient roads are calling me.
And I'll see you again
When I return, when I return.
I will love you all of my life
From the first whisper
'Til time is undone.
And I will find you in the light of the dawn
And you'll understand when you take my hand.
And, baby, we will go where the wild wind takes us.
You and I will be creatures of flight.
Horizons beckon and they'll never chain us.
That's the way of the creature of flight.
'Til then I'll fly on the wings of a dream...

Into The Twilight
02:24
|
|
||
Out-worn heart, in a time out-worn,
Come clear of the nets of wrong and right;
Laugh heart again in the grey twilight,
Sigh, heart, again in the dew of the morn.
Your mother Eire is always young,
Dew ever shining and twilight grey;
Though hope fall from you and love decay,
Burning in fires of a slanderous tongue.
Come, heart, where hill is heaped upon hill:
For there the mystical brotherhood
Of sun and moon and hollow and wood
And river and stream work out their will;
And God stands winding His lonely horn,
And time and the world are ever in flight;
And love is less kind than the grey twilight,
And hope is less dear than the dew of the morn.

Morgan Le Fay
04:52
|
|

I saw him once a-riding on the vast horizon line,
Between the Isle of Avalon and the pathways of time.
And I longed to know him better and hear all he had to say.
And I knew that I would meet with him on a fair and distant day.
And when I came to know him I saw his face was lined
With all the grace of Avalon and the cares and woes of time,
And his eyes were blind to the beauty of the darkness;
And I knew him then to be the one they call Emrys.
And he called to me and told me that he knew why I had come,
And he said: "My darkling daughter, in time you'll bear a son,
And he shall be your weapon; the puppet in your plan.
But you will rue the day the boy becomes a man."
Then within his stoney pupils I saw a flash of light divine,
For his power was wrought in Avalon and strengthened over time.
And he seemed to see into my blackened heart within,
And saw the motivation that fired my wretched sin.
And I turned to him and told him that I knew it to be true,
For within my waking nightmare I had foreseen it too.
"And should you dare deny my son as sire of all the land,
Then you will rue the day the boy becomes a man."
Comes a man...
Then he turned to me and told me that my soul was not yet lost
And he said: "My darkling daughter, are you prepared to pay the cost?
For though you shape and sculpt this child through his mild and trusting years
Your heart shall not withstand the day you cry a mother's tears."
A mother's tears...
A mother's tears, just like my mother's tears.
They'll pay for her tears;
I'll make them pay
For her tears.
For my mother's tears...

Sleep Until Tomorrow
04:12
|
|
||
Sigh not so, Sam; weep you no more.
Cry not for me, Sam.
I, I am no longer afraid.
Dry your eyes, Sam. Come, take my hand.
All things must end, Sam, and new things will grow in their place.
Sleep until tomorrow.
Silver stars abide above.
Night is but a shadow.
Sun will rise and bless this ancient land.
Time may have passed, Sam, but I am still feeling
Pain in my heart, Sam.
There are some wounds that never heal.
Now let me fly, Sam; now let me rest.
I hear them call, Sam,
Beyond the haven grey and from the West.
Sleep until tomorrow.
Silver stars abide above.
Night is but a shadow.
Sun will rise and bless this wretched land with love.
All comes full-circle; daylight is near.
Night is no longer born from darkness, born from fear.
Sleep until tomorrow.
Silver stars abide above.
Night is but a shadow.
Sun will rise and bless our souls with love.
Sleep 'til tomorrow; until we meet again:
Farewell, my Sam.
